Founded by Esther and Isadore Robinson in 1928, our family has owned and operated Robinson Iron and Metal Co. spanning the course of four generations to date. We proudly honor the legacy of the late Isadore Robinson, Sam Robinson, and Stephen Robinson by building upon the reliability and trust established through their hard work and providing results that continuously exceed the expectations of our customer and client partners.

Leadership

Samuel Robinson,
President and CEO

Samuel Robinson is the President and CEO of Robinson Iron and Metal Co., responsible for the management of the company, overseeing day-to-day operations, leading strategic initiatives, and leveraging his role as a business leader to contribute to the diverse communities of the Greater Houston Area. Upon his graduation from The University of Texas at Austin, Sam began his career out in the yard with his men learning every single facet of the operations through personal experience and teamwork. Through his tenacity and hard work, Sam quickly ascended to his current leadership position where he continues to grow the company’s existing footprint by expanding the company’s processing capacity and forming new strategic partnerships.

Ralph Robinson,
Chairman of the Board

Ralph Robinson is the Chairman of the Board of Robinson Iron and Metal Co. Ralph began his apprenticeship in the scrap industry during his youth and throughout his teenage years under the mentorship and guidance of founder, Isadore Robinson, and successor, President, Samuel H. Robinson. Ralph was integral in bringing the success of Robinson Iron and Metal Co., to new heights alongside the leadership of proceeding President, Stephen Robinson, as the Chief Operating Officer from 1991-2005. Ralph assumed the role of President of Robinson Iron and Metal Co., in 2005 until he passed the torch to the next generation in 2020.
